i leave our bed dreaming dawn as you awake the world feels pure before the heat hits the bay. i run a golden arc along the beach to have my steps so quickly erased ask the mist to cushion and caress the bones of whales ask the suns to steal and heal another day ah. houses on stilts bareback hang over the waves in ten billion three children’s laughter. carssos lost la little cat we look at our faces in ripples falling into the sky, men on the road are breaking the concrete with sledgehammers as you come with your dusty face out of a dark doorway everything shimmers in the heat and the haze. first mate of the panama leans at the rail and spits in the mud and herons. we must go on working as we make jokes you wrestle a god-wing we are gold today ah. and everything turns softer colors turn to pastels as the heat fades from far across the glassy water come reflections. mystery, peace. 1979-02 –

FRIEND ARE YOU CALLING is album 3 of 'The four sisters'.

i began with one album-length collection of work, ‘Eve will own’, 
which has resulted from both collaborating with damian bisciglia and 
simultaneously working independently. as I have continued on, this 
needed to grow to four albums, and to incorporate earlier work 
of mine that is emotionally related.
